Default Quiet my D-Rings please!

I got my new custom bumper done and my buddy made the d-ring shackle mounts very beefy! With that said they are a bit wider than my rear bumper and i can't fit my shank washers on them to quiet them down and keep them rubbing on the powdercoat. Does anyone have an idea for a gasket of some sort or some kind of coating i can put on them?

I wrapped some black electric tape around the pin just enough for it to slide in and so far no more rattle!

I had the same problem. What I'd did was pickup some 2" flat rubber washers from Lowes and had an upholstery shop cut out the centers big enough to fit the shackle bolt. Hope this helps.

I went to Lowe's and found some large rubber grommets in the specialty parts drawers in the screw isle. These grommets are the type that you would use after you drill a hole in metal to protect wires running thru the hole.

I found these when the standard d-ring isolators were on back order and did not want to hear them rattle on my new bumper.

Hope that helps.

Thanks all! I will bring them into Lowe's and see what I can find!! I am just concerned the plasti-dip will be too thick on the shaft.
