nope, my alternative is either:
a) wait for the market to catch up
b) drop the cash and have a "real" cage bent up
c) ask Rockhard to fix these issues, add some triangulation to the back and beef up those front mounts.

$600 for a half assed half a cage (rear 'speader" not inclded) is not money well spent when you can drop another 2-300 and have a fab shop build you up a real cage.

LOL!!

But to me, alternative "a" is nothing at all and if you don't have the cash or if Rock Hard doesn't address your particular concerns, alternative "b" and "c" is nothing at all as well.

And, that is your opinion and I'm glad that others here have been exposed to it as it will give them something to think about. For me personally, I think the actual cost to have a welded in cage done right and look factory (i.e. maticulous attention to detail, disassembly of dash or other interior trim, clean cutting of the interior trim pieces as needed, professional in-vehicle paint job and reassembly of interior) would cost a bit more than an additional $200-$300. But hey, if you can afford it, you won't hear me trying to discourage people from having it done as it would be the optimal solution. However, for those people who aren't willing do what it takes to have a welded in cage installed or just aren't financially able to, I personally feel that the Rock Hard sport cage is a great alternative to having nothing at all. Of course, that's just my opinion.

This could be improved greatly by adding a piece to the bottom that would sandwich and completely box the area around the dome light. You could either relocate the dome light or cut a hole for it.

Any reason this couldn't be done? It would significantly strengthen this area.
