We run the Rugged Ridge XHD and haven't had any issues. Its an easy install. I blaze my own trails pretty often too and the coating is still holding up.

I have a RR XHD aswell but bought it without a winch center. It's held up nice and was an easy install.. but now with a winch on the way I'm looking into poison spyder with a stinger. I think they have a nice mid for around $600.

I think warn sells some nice mid length bumpers with bull bars, I just can't remember if they have winch cut outs or not
