Default Question for Trektop NX users...

I'm thinking of selling my hard top and purchasing a Trektop NX but have some questions.

1) How loud is it on the highway?
2) Any regrets?
3) How much storage space do you lose?
4) How does it come off? Does it fold down like a regular soft top or does it come completely off and you store it in the back?
5) How long does it take to take off and put back on?

Thanks for your help.

Ill answer what I can:

1) How loud is it on the highway? - I don't really notice any noise with regard to if "flapping." I do have a spot next to my drivers side door where there's some air leaking through. It's really no different then any other soft top.

2) Any regrets? Nope. Had one on my TJ as well as my current 07 JKU. Love the look.

3) How much storage space do you lose? Not enough to tell. Fact is, in the rear, the trextop stops in the same place as a regular soft top would. You're still ducking under that "bar."

4) How does it come off? Does it fold down like a regular soft top or does it come completely off and you store it in the back? Haven't had mine off yet, but I think they come completely off. My last one did.

5) How long does it take to take off and put back on? Not sure yet. Summer will tell. I do however know, the warmer, the better.

As far as how it comes off/folds down there are several options: you can remove the windows and run it as a bikini top, flip back the front (sunrider) and expose the front seats, or remove it completely. It doesn't fold down like a factory softtop. After doing it a few times, it doesn't take very long to put the top back together, especially when it's warm out. There are many tips out there for the install and pics in the thread below. It's a great top, you will love it if you go that route.

1. About the same as a factory soft top.
2. See #4
3. Not much storage space is lost, worst case you can always unzip the rear window to fit something large.
4. You have to completely remove it to get it off. This is not that difficult, however it is too wide to be stored neatly in the cargo area, I have to fold the seat to fit it in. Also there are no commercially available storage options for the windows. My gripe with all of this is that I wanted to be able to drive to work top down and then throw it up if the weather changes (50 miles from home). I think I am going to try and work out a trade with someone for a factory soft top.
5. About the same speed as the factory top except that when you are done you have to store it some place.
