Default Question on EVO GUSSETS

recieved the gusset kit today i just tried a test fitment to see how they go in place both lowers perfect control arm skid perfect but,
upper gussets will no go into place they are 3/8 of a inch from getting to the axle on left and right side . They hit the springs so is there a way around this or do the springs have to come out and basicly drop the whole front end apart to install the uppers ?
ive seen pictures of notched ones some where but to get 3/8 that basicly taking a whole lot out of the gusset . here is what i have , and no prep work has been done yet .

Do you have an adjustable track bar?

Default i bought one teraflex hd adj track bar havet got it in yet

why ? it will be going in before the gusset install . its the same measurement on both sides so my axle seems centered according to all measuerments I called a company related to evo and they said never heard of it hitting on stock springs only some tereflex

Mine did the same on my RK 3.5" lift. I popped the springs out and they drop right in, weld them up and then put the springs back in and they don't touch. Hope this helps out.

Default ok heres the scoop :)

i was test fitting it on the ground , i was told you have to jack it up high on the frame so load is off springs , then they go into place . This is true but still dosent seat right to the frame tight do to the stock springs rubbing a bit. Im not sure if the welder can fill that gap or not ? It still concerns me a bit when you release the jack and spring comes down into its normal position it still rubs the upper gusset . it seems you still need to have to grind it out some notch unless the gap dosent matter when welded in many spots . I wonder when the spring comes down into place if its pressure against the gussets effect the performance of the spring or its driving habit? anyone know for sure? couple more pics after it went in youl see the spring still rub& in first pic youl see the gap im refering to that is a bit large for my liking . of should it be granded enough to sit all the way back against the frame ?

even a bit more to get the gusset a little closer to the frame that 1/4 inch . it could get me away from the spring maybe with out having to pull springs and control arms and etc ... ?

the thing is they claim you dont need to remove the springs at all and the labor is a lot more if your welding shop has to pull springs and disconnect all kinds of stuff to get it in wont be 200 anymore ! you know ?
