Question for da20captain and hemi swappers?
Da20Captain and anyone who has accomplished DIY Hemi swaps,
This is kinda nuts, however, I must ask:
Do you guys think that it is possible to install a 6.2 Hellcat, or 6.4 Hemi as simply as y'all have done your 5.7 swaps?
I asked Dakota Customs if they change the drive-line for their $62k+ turnkey Hellcat swap, and they said no; I believe they are just on D44s. This makes me wonder, if one is willing to spend the big bucks on the powertrain, how feasible would it be to swap in a Hellcat engine/trans?
Thanks in advance for entertaining this.

On a different note: Twin turbo pentastar or ferrari-derived 2.9 liter twin turbo
More insane, possibly useless ideas:
Since the Pentastar V-6 is headed for Direct Injection and Twin Turbos to eventually replace the Hemis, I wonder if the new Twin Turbo Pentatstar would be a direct (simple) swap?
Even better might be the Alfa Romeo (FCA) Giulia Quadrifoglio Twin Turbo 2.9 liter V-6 with 503 bhp. I am betting it will not be too long before they start showing-up from wrecks on eBay, LKQ, etc. It could be plug-and-play if the ZF transmission could be mated to the 241J or MP241 transfer cases?

Man I could not tell ya. Don’t know about the Hellcat swap. I am in CHS regularly now. If you would like to take a look at the 5.7 let me know I will drive it down there if you let me know. I have a commuter car I drive usually.

The Hellcat may be a non-starter simply due to the price of a take-out being over $20k, however, the 6.4 Hemi may not be that much more work than your 5.7 based on what I am reading.
Still also considering the MoTech LS3 route. I want to put sown 500+ rwhp, so forced induction is a must.

Robbi also has subject matter expertise as an emissions inspector. AEV apparently has put together other Hemi conversions that failed to pass emissions inspections. MoTech has helped with Hemi conversions in the past, specifically regarding state emissions testing.
