Default Question about TrueTrac and Detroit Locker part numbers plus choosing the ratio...

Since they don't make a JK SPECIFIC TrueTrac or Detroit, do I just choose the TJ Wrangler equivalent of the 27-spline D30 TrueTrac for the front and the equivalent 30-spline D44 Detroit for the rear?

One more question, since you need to specify if you're above or below their specified gear ratio, when they ask if you are "numerically" above, does that mean if they specify to be above 3.73, that means my gears need to be at 3.73 or higher (as in 4.10, 4.56, 4.88, 5.13), correct?

Thanks.

I'd like to know this as well.

I see the the Trutrac D30 27 spline listed as PN 912A585 but as you mentioned the JK isn't on the compatible vehilce list so I'd like someone to confirm this is the correct locker before I order it.
I'm planning on installing a Trutrac in my Dana 30 up front and waiting until spring to do a selectable locker in the D44 rear.

Curious as well. Maybe call northridge and ask. Probably point you in the right direction

Dana 30 carrier breaks are 3.54/down and 3.73 up.
Dana 44 is 3.73/down and 3.92/up. However, all JKs, regardless of gear ratios will use the 3.73/down carrier.

Truetrac
D30 front 3.54/down-912A584
same 3.73/up-912A585
D44 rear 3.73/down- 913A589

Detroit Locker
D30 3.54/down-162SL60A
same 3.73/up-162A60B
D44 3.73/down- 187SL16D

I forgot I was on old threads. Lmao thanks dynatrac. I'm just trying to decide best option for front and rear lockers. I think I'm set on PR44 with arb on front but the rear is what's getting me. May just end up with arb both ways and call it a day.

As much as I like Detroits, the dash lights on a JK aren't too Detroit friendly.
