Question about springs..
So I currently am running 2DR Rubicon springs with a 3/4 spacer on my 2DR X Soft Top to help level the weight of a Shrockworks mid-width front bumper. I have no lift.
I was reading 4 Wheeler magazine and someone wrote in who also had a 2DR X asking how they could level a heavy front bumper but keep stock height and the editor suggested OME springs instead of a spacer.
I looked and on Old Man Emu site and found these springs for the JK..
Light Duty 2DR

Heavy Duty 2DR

My question is, can I use these to level my ride instead of the spacers?
Will they ride less harsh than the rubicon springs?
If so, which do I need. The heavy duty or light duty?
Also, I do not want to lift, just level with a nice ride (I heard OME is the best for ride quality). Will this keep stock height?
Thanks in advance.

I don't see anything on the page about lift but I think those are their 2" springs.
Two inches from OME means about 3+" of lift. If you are going to run a heavy bumper and winch. Then most get the HD version. If you are running a stubby bumper and synth winch line some opt for the Light spings. Stock height will not be what you get either way. They do ride very well and their shocks are also great for lots of flex and smooth ride.

I could put the stock springs back on and measure it tomorrow, only takes about 15 mins. Got to put it on a ramp anyway.
No alignment should be required. Just need to re centre the steering wheel via the drag link adjuster.

A cheap alternative is to find some front springs from a 4 door hardtop (52126317AB-left side and 52126318AB-right side) People are giving them away and selling them all the time. I've got them on my the front of my 2dr softtop with a 90lb bumper and a 90 lb winch and it sits pretty level. my rear bumper is stock. i still have the stock 2dr springs in the rear.
i had the 4dr front springs on for 2 weeks before i installed the bumper and winch and it rode worse than with the stock 2dr springs (it also looked like it sat high in the front). Once i put the weight on the front, the ride improved dramatically and it leveled out.
