When I had my new 5.13's put in, I took the diff covers home and sprayed them with about 10 coats of dark grey Hammerfinish by Rustoleum. They look beautiful! Especially with the black contrasting Warn diff armor.

 

I have just confirmed that I definitely have plenty of fluid and since I have no noise or anything of that type I think I will just write if off to poor paint quality on the cover. I may paint it or I may just wait till I get a new cover. Thanks for everyone's comments.
