Default Question about the rear bumper w/tire carrier

I noticed that the wiring and the tail brake lamp will need to be removed. How do you open the rear trunk panel to remove it? Does it unsnap or disconnect somewhere inside the back panel/trunk ?

I'm asking about removing the wiring, not so much about the brake lamp.

Open the vent on your tail gate, you can access the plug there. Real simple. It will pull out from the back. I cut off my 3rd brake light the first week I had my Jeep. It is the most hideous thing on the Jeep.
