Default Question about Rancho 9000XL shocks

I got a set of Rancho 9000XL adjustable shocks. At first I had a problem... when I collapsed the shaft on one of the shocks by hand, the shock would then extend out on its own only to half way and stop. Since working it a bit, it now extends fully.

HOWEVER, the other shock extends at a much faster rate when you let go and this one is slow. Should I return one of these shocks and if so which, the slower one?

Bwaaahaahaa, that sounds like the Chrysler 1 qt of oil consumption every 1000m is ok. I'd send em all back after a response like that.
