Default Question about JK Receiver/Hitch

I am thinking about purchasing this receiver/hitch for my 2009 Wrangler Unlimited X. Anybody have this or have any comments about it. Would be using it occasionaly to pull a trailer behind for mower, mulch, etc. Thanks for the comments.

That receiver, and the wiring harness they have, are what would be on the JK from the factory.

The next issue: What do you have for gears?

Factory one looks very similar, I'd keep an eye out for a factory take off, around $60-$70 on the forums, seen one on craigslist for $30 before.

That one looks fine, but I'd go for this one and save $20ish:

Also, I like that it has the place to mount the 4 way flat trailer wiring like my factory one does. As a matter of fact, grab this harness, and you'll still come out cheaper than the Hidden hitch alone:

I have the factory one, it works just fine for pulling a trailer with an Arctic Cat TRV and too much camping gear... This one from Quadratec is the same thing.

Yeah, get the Mopar/Rugged Ridge/Smittybilt. They all have the little clip to hold the wiring harness. Also, they don't stick out far like the Hidden Hitch one does, so you won't smash your shin on it constantly.

If you're going to use a hitch rack or bike rack, the hitches that stick out farther are probably better. I have the Smittybilt hitch though and my hitch haul rack works fine. The spare tire (stock) only hangs over it about 0.5".

As mentioned by itasor, if you are going to put a hitch rack for bikes on it, get the Hidden Hitch.
