Question
I know I know easy question but...............
I purchased some upgraded hood latches because I am tired of watching it float around when I am on I35. (just the black rubber part).
I know this is a simple fix. However, where the heck are the screws/bolts on the latch. I was looking all over and can't find anything

Think I noticed that the hood on JK that have their plastic front "skid plate" under stock bumper don't float, it starts when you remove it, or the pastic part on top of the bumper. On my X 2007, it started when I ripped it off in a trail, still have it on my Rubicon 2008 (cut for the tire) and my hood stays nice even at 80mph...
I have seen someone fix the lifting problem by taking a lenght of rubber 5/8" hose (garden hose) and ty-rapping it just behind the rubber on which the hood sits.. it gives enough strenght to the rubber to prevent air pushing it away and the hood stopped lifting.

4WD Parts in Austin, TX
I purchased at 4WD Parts Sat here in Austin. The package (Daystar Latches) came with no instructions, no parts other than the two black latches.......Did they sell me a returned one with missing parts?

USA - My hood just started doing this when I removed that "cheap plastic skid plate" too. I removed it Friday pm......I guess that means this skid plate was blocking or directing air flow somewhere else.......Now its coming up through the hood.
Hopefully the Daystar latches will do the trick. If 4WD Parts can get me a complete package, LOL....
