Do it! OHHH, I see now. On page 20 of this build, so well thought out. Might "steal" a pic (credit to you and that thread) latter on today...

The difference between the 60 and 80 is about a 1/4" or around a pencil width. As mentioned when your JK get up to the larger tires, that is minimal.

You can get rear axles from northridge. You call them, they call dynatrac and order it to your spec's, and have it shipped to you 8-10 weeks later. They may be stocking rears by now but am not sure. They have a complete bolt in trail series dana 60 listed on the website. With that JKU you defiantly want to go full float on the rear and might as well go 8 lug for the big meats.
Dynatrac does not make a 44 for the JK Rear.

We currently stock Dynatrac front pro rock 44's and Dynatrac Semi float direct bolt in Pro rock 60 rears.

Our turn around time right now is 72 hours to ship you a complete housing.

We also stock all the aftermarket brackets you may need to complete your drag link flip , Hydro steering ect

Hmm I asked Dave at Northridge why there wasn't a rear match to the front and he said that it wasn't available...

I'd love to get two of the Northridge setup and just add the new front drive shaft and the ARB air source for the lockers...

This right here!
They can get you a bare housing to a built axle, depending on what you desire.

Do you think you might be able to offer a 44 rear in the next year or so?

Honestly, probably won't happen. The reason being is that a 60 in the rear is SO much stronger. We make the 44 (rear) for much lighter applications.

The rear dana 44 on the JK is sufficient for 35" tires, if anything an upgrade to cromoly shafts is really all that is needed. There are several trusses out there that can be had to stiffen up the housing if you are worried about bending a tube or having a tube break free from the housing. Going to a 60 rear is a no brainer for the cost and the strength you gain.

I have the pro rock 44 front for about a year now. I wish I had gone with the pr 60 now. Its not the best reason but more reason than any is for the lock out hubs. I'm not sure why I didn't just order the 60 in the first place. I've been kicking around selling the pr44 and order the 60. The pro rock 44 is a huge difference over the stock axle. The housing itself is just about as strong as the 60. Makes the rig handle better over stock as far as steering and road handle. It gave it a very solid feel when going over bumps. As far as putting it in yourself, I honestly enjoyed it. I have a nice garage with all the right tools. One thing that is a must is some good tall strong jack stands! I ordered 12 ton jack stands and at there lowest point they almost reach the frame with a 4 inch lift and 35's. Made if feel safe working on it that's for sure.

Feel free to use any photo you want, you make a great product and they are worth the wait. Too bad the 80 came out a month after I got my 60. I may be buying a couple more JK's for a business venture and will defiantly be calling on you for some new axles.

I've had the PR44 front and D60 rear for about a year now, and no regrets, even leaning on them with the Hemi at 6000 RPM in my overweight rig. They were ordered with bracketry for my AEV lift and I went with 4:88s, RCVs, and ARB lockers pre-installed ( 35" Nittos and Teraflex big brakes). Dynatrac really has their act together when it comes to axle housings. Well worth the investment.
