That's one point...but the Super chips Flashcal also serves as a code reader, can change a whole lot of Factory presets like DRL or lane change features and can also serve as an engine idle boost if you would add a winch later on. Plus it can be later upgraded with tuner software. Seemed worth it to me....but I installed 35's...

The OP mentioned a ProCal for a speedo "fix", which is to what I was responding, not sure why you picked my post to troll. And I can read codes with a $20 OBD II WiFi/Bluetooth adapter and a free app for my phone. I have a winch, use it, and never needed to boost my idle speed. $170 so I can have DRLs (since I already have lane change in my 2014) is still a waste for me.

I agree with you and jedg though, such a marginal difference in tire...there's no point. I only bought the ProCal when I regeared...then I figured I might as well calibrate the speedo too. Never was a problem though, so part of me still feels like $170 went down the drain. Whatever
I used it 1 day, and threw it back in the box. Have no clue where it is anymore, that's how often I "need" to mess with meaningless things. I've also used this Warn PowerPlant enough to fry the solenoid (replaced it, sucked), and I've never needed an engine idle 'boost'...whatever that is.

1. Download a GPS app and check your speed against that.
2. Use the highway mile markers... go 60mph based on your speedometer... then time from one mile marker to the next.. you should be at 60 seconds for each mile.

I have had the opposite experience as some, I have used my procal on 3 different vehicles since 2012. I just used the restore feature when I traded. I like drl and I like my speedo and odometer/tripometer to be accurate and like to run 28psi with out nanny lights coming on.
The idle boost feature keeps your battery charged during heavy winching so not a feature many would use but nice if you need it also runs the air compressor a little faster when airing up.
Also upgrades are a sickness so 285/70 lead to 35's which lead to gears the procal does that too. Also some of us who end up fubared rubicon electric discos can use the procal to remove it from the system without having to look at the flashing disco light . $170 pretty cheap in the grand scheme of jeep mods.

$170 is nothing compared to the price you pay to have more or less the same features in other platforms, even if it was just to fix the revs per mile issue when you switch to bigger sizes or change your gears. Also if i remember correctly, the factory Rubi KM2's measure 30.5", doubt the factory Sahara Duellers in 255/70/18 will be taller than the Rubi KM2's?, My KO2's in 285/70/17 measure 32 1/8" mounted in 17x9 wheels, sure enough to mess with your speedo and mpg if you care about that, and/or if you have a auto trans, it may mess your shift points, though i ran that size for about 2 months or so, before i use a Flashcal to correct for the new size, and i don't remember having issues with my shift points, don't know if the size will be an issue in the long run if you didn't correct the size in the calibration.
Also, tire size is a fairly debated subject, most people think their tires measure the same as advertised size, or will use the math to convert the size label into diameter, none of this will account for weight under the tire and wheel width.
Waytocry has a nice database with height measurements,
along with pictures and how to measure your tires, i think a lot of people will be surprised to know what their tires really measure, vs what their advertised size was, or how the tire look like compared to others here

I don't have a need to justify anything I do...I was was just adding the other benefits the Flashcal has to offer. Is that $20 dollar code reader going to benefit a re- gear ...no..is that app going to change the low tire pressure threshold...no...just saying it has it's benefits...and by the way ... I only stated I had "sick" as you put it, 35's because my scenario was different....just sayin'....🤐
