it is always good practice to disconnect before wheeling. if there is nothing wrong with your suspension than i would just buy a set of quickdisco's. if you still have the stock endlinks (i guess you do if jeep is fixing it) than you are too short anyway with a lift and spacers. this would go for the front and rear but just adjustable endlinks in the rear. it looks like the front to me though.

There is a trememdous amount of pressure on the sway bar end links even when you only have a little bit of flex, and some JK owners have had the axle mounts for the sway bars break off. The fact that your Skyjacker lift doesn't do anything to adress the issue of the links being too short with a 2.5" lift just adds to the problem. The longer the sway bar end link is the more room it has between the bushing points, and the less side loading you will see on the bushing.

To keep it from happening in the future get longer links (could just get some for the back and move the stock rears to the front), and disconect any time you are on a trail.

With 2.5" lift, your front links (5.5" long) are too short. Tip: Buy 2 used rear links (9" long) Just perfect!

If you have a bigger budget, buy front adj. links

i am saying that you need longer links up front. i would buy quick disconects if it were me and adjustables in the rear. if you want to go cheap you can do what others said and just put the rears up front and buy adjustables for the rear or a set of stock rear links. i still say you should disconect before you go off road at all but if you make the sway bar sit just about level with the jeep you will be fine without doing that. i bet your sway bar is angles down right now on flat ground and that is not good. your lift was not very complete from skyjacker. some companies just don't put everything you need in a kit. good luck

I totally removed my swaybar due to this reason. The Skyjacker kit does well at highway speeds on road at +70mph like this despite the XRC bumper and 10.5k winch.
