Problem with steering
I just installed my Synergy drag link and after the install I've developed an odd steering problem. While accelerating the steering wheel steers to the left on acceleration about an inch. When I shift gears or hit my cruising speed the steering wheel re-centers. I have taken off my SS and the problem goes away but then my bump steer is pretty bad. I've been under the jeep and had the steering wheel turned to 10 and 2 and I don't see any play in the drag link. I guess it's my SS but it seems odd that this came up after the new drag link was installed. Am I missing something or have I already answered my own question?

Well I'll start this by saying I'm an idiot but at least I now know a lot more about my Jeep. I now understand the importance of keeping the drag link and track bar as parallel as possible. Initially I felt that the after installing my flip drag link that I wouldn't need to install the synergy relocation track bar mount (me being lazy). So after some research last night I decided to install it and see what happens. After the install the track bar and drag link are now parallel and now the steering is awesome and that's without the SS installed. But since I have one I reinstalled the SS anyways. IMO this is a good example of taking your time and working on your jeep so that you can really understand what everything does and how it works. This is also another example of why you shouldn't be lazy as well.

How's your bump steer? You need to fix the bump steer as well.Using your SS to hide your bump steer is not a cure.Over time it will become worse and your SS will not work.Besides if your steering is set up correctly,no SS is needed

No issues with the bump steer the Jeep drives right as rain now I honestly put the SS back on because I just bought it about two months ago and figured I need to get my money out of it.

I learned this lesson too. I put on a new JKS adjustable trackbar in the front, which it says is incompatible with the drop bracket from my lift kit, so I pulled off the drop bracket - big mistake. I have the same issues you did - bump steer and the wheel moving on acceleration and deceleration. Reinstalled bracket and all is back to normal.

Hey guys.. Sorry to awaken this thread but I am having this EXACT issue. First, I installed Reid Knuckles and flipped the drag link (without raising the trackbar). The acceleration steer was horrible and another Jeeper quickly pointed out my problem. So, I installed a Synergy trackbar bracket to raise the trackbar at the axle. The issue is much better but it is still there. No idea what to try next. Well, that's not true - next, I'm going to raise the rear trackbar at the axle as well but I'm not sure that will solve my problem. I should note that the issue is subtle to moderate - not severe by any means..
The issue is just like OP described - while acelerating, the Jeep pulls to the left and when I let off, the wheel and jeep straighten back out. But that's not all. While driving on the freeway around 60 mph, going over those long, slow bounces - the ones where the front and back of the Jeep are rising and compressing in unison, the Jeep "yaws" to the right when I hit the "valley" and straightens back out when the Jeep rises.. Literally - every time the Jeep hits the valley it twists (yaws) and then reverses when The Jeep comes back up..
The opinions on whether the rear trackbar needs to match the angle of the front trackbar and draglink seem varied. Most people have said "you may have an issue" but I would think it would be a bit more cut-and-dry.. I mean geometry is geometry.. Anyway, my theory is that with the rear trackbar being at a steeper angle (and longer), under compression, the front and rear axles (well body) would be "pushed" sideways by different amounts (distances).. Does that make sense?
Sorry for my lack of proper terminology! Any help/input/advice would be appreciated!
Just to be clear - the Jeep drove fine originally. The only changes I made were new ball joints, Reid knuckles (flipped drag link), new 3" coils (I had 3" coils but changed from FT to Synergy), and FOX IFP shocks.
Perhaps the issue is that the Reid Knuckle/flipped drag link is not compatible with the Synergy track bar raise bracket (raises the tb 3" at the axle)...

I have the exact same problem with when I accelerate my steering wheel turns to the left and when I let go it straightens back out and my bump steer is crazy I just replaced my track bar and steering stabilizers I haven't done the drag link flip kit but I just don't want to blow my money on something if its not going to fix my problems. I would love to know if anyone has fixed these problems.
