I had this problem on my Scrambler (it had a 4.0L FI swapped in). I just got used to it. Just pretend it's the turbo spooling up .

I'd call Airaid if it really bothers you. I'm sure they've heard this before. Maybe they can help. Oj just get some louder tires, or turn up the stereo

just an fyi the airaid throttle spacer that supposedly puts a twist or swirl in the airstream creates a whislte. My guess is jeep or airaid has incorporated this into the stock throttle body or the CAI (whichever its coming from) just a guess but my opinion.

My whistle sounds more like squeaking brake pads! Very annoying, considering I can hear it with the hard top on. My only suggestion is to try and create a electical tape gasket where the rubber meets the plastic tube. Let's see if it helps??

It's not just Airaid my AEM Brute Force will make the sound occasionally and it has an aluminum tube. The sound is similiar to a supercharger just before you feel the boost like my wifes Pontiac GTP makes.

I'm with you on this one. There is the normal whistle sound and then there is the squeel at a certain spot on the throttle that will not go away unless you let off or increase throttle. Extremely annoying and NOT normal.

they're all pretty much the same, i went with the dry-flow, so i don't have to oil it after i clean it.

breathe in through your teeth. normally. now go ahead and suck in a giant breath through them. see where your sound is coming from?
