I would simply get a budget boost then. If you get a big lift then your looking at replacing other parts such as trackbar, drive shafts, etc $$$. Plus if you go with a big lift and only have 33's I think it would look goofy having all that extra space in your wheel wells.

Default pro comp stage 1

I began with a procomp stage 1 lift ...

stage 2 replaced the front drive shaft because it was rubbing on tranny cover.
stage 3 re-geared and bought a computer to compensate for the bigger tires
stage 4 bought front and rear adjustable control arms to get rid of driveline vibes
stage 5 bought an adjustable front trackbar and pitman arm to re-center axle

the stage 1 lift is only the beginning "stage"

Just Empty Every Pocket - get a kit with adjustable arms, cheaper to buy a kit versus individually

Go witht he black diamond setup, you not only get a nice adjustable front trackbar, but you also gain over 4 inches of lift from it.

I have the stage 1 lift with 35's, manual transmission. Driven around 12k miles so far, no problems yet. I do have plans to finish the lift though...

Default ProComp Stage 1

I have the ProComp Stage1 4" lift on my four door with 35x10.5x16 XTerrains and love it. The only issue with the lift is that you will bottom out on the rear at higher speeds since you only get spacers for the stock springs on the rear with the Stage One kit. One of these days I might upgrade to the EVO rear kit.

I do recommend upgrading to 5:13 on automatics with the tires that I got.

If your doing mellow riding, I'm sure you could put 37" on it.

I have been looking also for a 4 inch lift for my jeep for the past few months. I am running 33's also, but will move upto 35 one day. I plan on doing skyjacker on mine with the better brackets that have more attach points. I read you need to stay away from cam bolts. I wanna do my lift with less cutting as possible. I think I wanna do the 4 inch skyjacker value flex. If you don't disconnect the swaybar is it still gonna ruin the front driveshaft? Is it better to go on a replace the stock driveshaft or break it?

Default Stage I

I have a Pro Comp Stage I 4inch with 33's. No problems. Perhaps it does only give me 3" of lift, but with 33's 3inches precludes the rollerskate look.

Damn! Where the hell were all you people loving on Pro Comp when I wanted one a month or so ago?! I asked and got more than a few who straight said no and offered up experiences from them and friends who had problems...noisy bushings etc. Moreover, when I asked elsewhere it was all confirmed by others...same story. Then there was the love affair for TF...all these posts and not one mention of TF kits?

feel your pain buddy, a lot of pro comp haters on this forum for some reason but whatever everybody is entitled to there own opinion. Teraflex seems to be the most popular lift on here, and hell I would love to have a 4" Teraflex kit but for my needs and the money the Pro Comp stage I was the best fit.
