It is a small programmer with a bunch of little dipswitches. It will come with a card that tells you how to set the switches for each function you want. up-up-dn-dn-dn-dn-up-up, or whatever. Once you get it set, you plug it into the port by your left knee.

You can get t through any local 4wd shop, or any of the online vendors.

If you get larger tires you can reprogram your computer to adjust the speedometer and shift points. You can adjust or turn off your TPMS, you can adjust computer if you install larger gears, you can turn on/off momentary turn signals, you can adjust accelerator pedal, you can use it to re-center steering wheel. Might be one or two other things you can do with it be I don't recall right now.

Pro-cal will also set the idle speed up for more alternator output while winching.

Damit! I really have to stay off this web site! I just watched the video (Thanks LOCKO!) and just bought the Pro-calc. Wasn't something I was going to buy, until I watched the video and heard him state the price and the features it gives you... Kinda was a little disappointed when I went to AEV's website, because the Pro-Calc is now 149.00 not 129.00. But I figure if it changes the shift points by resetting my tire size and gaining better fuel economy, I guess it will be worth it.

The ProCal is going to be right at $150 no matter where you buy it. I went with a vender who shipped the fastest and for free.
