Pricing on gears
So I'm doing some research on regearing and was wondering if $710 is a good deal for a 4.56 gear kit. It's supposed to come with 2 ring & pinion sets, 2 overhaul kits and bearings. I've never done gears before so I honestly don't know what all is needed. I most likely will buy the parts and have a shop do the install.

Check out a few of the sponsors websites for pricing. Some also have forum discounts, so call/PM, or find some posts from them. (I have seen a 10% code for northridge, and a few suggestions from them to just call and check).
You should also talk to the install shop. Some won't install gears that you supply. Or will offer a better warranty if they supply.
Also, if you currently have a d30 with 3.21 gears, you will need a new carrier for that axle.
And just for educational purposes so you can get an idea of what is going on.

Cool thanks for the info. The price I found was on a vendors site so I will just call them and get more info. The jeep I'm looking at comes lifted from the dealership so I'm hoping they did the gears as well but I will find out. I'm just researching in case they didn't.
