I was thinking about using a B&M trans cooler for my power steering cooler.

i saw them and some others.. the ones that say power steering though are quite compact. a lil smaller than a "trans" cooler.. i think pretty much any cooler that fits will work.

Has anyone installed a power steering cooler.

Did you go into the return line (which is large) or into the line out which I think is 3/8in.

My understanding is that you want to go into the return line but I would need a large adapter to go from the cooler's 3/8 to the size of the return line.

Thanks for the help.

I have personally witnessed 2 JKs boil their power steering fluid on the trails (rocks + it is hot here!)
I am interested as to if a cooler would help, I know you are going slow, but between being a heat sink, a little more fluid, and the fan drawing some air across the cooler, I would think it would help

One last call to anyone who knows how to go about installing a power steering cooler in the JK with the return line having a very large diameter.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have a PS cooler on mine although it is a hydraulic assist setup from PSC. I can tell you that it does make a big difference in fluid temp. As far as install goes you need to put the cooler on the return side of the system.
