Keep it in the console when not in use.

I did not have good luck with the tow mode either... very bogged down and way too much downshifting.

91 tune w/ 93 octane (to minimize pinging) seems to work out for me.

I went back to stock today to see what I get for gas mileage. I was getting a strong 18 with the 93 tune but dropped to 16 with tow. I'll probably go back to 93. I only got the pinging once. I've gotten mutiple uses out of this tuner so even if the tunes suck, I've read and cleared codes, disabled my tpms, re calibrated my speedo, changed my fan temp among other things. Very handy to have.

The all of the settings gave me 6th gear back in my manual tranny. Once I put 35s on 6th gear was pretty much useless. I cruise all the time in 6th now with no problems, unless I need to pass or head up hills, then I will down shift. I just found that Tow mode got me noticeably more grunt off the line. I don't notice much difference on the high end.

As for mileage, mine never really changed. I always get between the high 13s to the 15, unless I do more freeway driving that usual, then I get into the 17s, but that is rare. These were the same readings with 33s and even now my 35s. just no real measurable difference for me, but I am not careful either.

Default Installed last night so limited changes made yet

First tune was 87 octane and changed tire size to match my 33's. Initial impression is that I have significant improvement in 2nd, 3rd, 4th but only moderate improvement in 5th. I did not get it in 6th yet (6 speed manual). I have to head to Richmond today (45 miles) so I should have a better idea of Highway performance after the trip.

I am currently running the 93 Octane setting for daily driving use and fuel mileage for the summer. I will use the tow tune when I have less highway needs and enjoy how quickly I can change things.

I don't remember exactly what my tire setting is for 35s, but taller than I imagined with GPS calibration. Actual tire height is set right around 34" give or take a 1/4". I'm sure part of this is due to a low service description tire and a narrow wheel, aka the poor mans bead lock.

I have my fan on temperature set to 200 degrees, with high on set at 215 degrees for the summer. I also run a 180 degree thermostat and it's important to keep your fan on temperatures 20 degrees above your thermostat. Fan on temperature settings less than 20 degrees over the thermostat setting can throw codes such as an open fan relay and really doesn't do anything more than unnecessarily spin your fan.

I do go back to a 195 degree thermostat for winter, and just go to high fan on at 215 degrees.

I tried tow but didn't seem to see any difference in 91 performance to tow. I wonder if 87 performance or mileage save really changes anything for gas or cost savings? I might go to mileage but with a manual shift points don't matter. I do need to re gear 3.73 to 4.88 with 35s then 37s in a month or so

I am running 91 tune with stock tire setting. My tires, even though they are advertised as 33, are closer to 32. I tried a different tire setting, but I did not like the way it shifted. I also lowered my TPMS setting. I like this setting for my daily driving, the power is good in town and not bad on the highway. I cruise at 70 mph and have power to pass if I want, even in the hills.

87 was good, but for the couple of bucks more for a full tank of 91, the 91 tune was noticeably better.

I will give the tow setting a try, since I have not yet.

Default Trip Results

Drove into Richmond yesterday and was impressed with the results. The 87 octane setting gave me decent results but I still struggle some on hills. Even with the City driving I did my MPG improved from 17.5 to 18.5. I would anticipate more gain with my normal, all rural driving pattern.
