Default possible driveline issue.

i just had an offroad trip and im now hearing a click come from something in the jeep. it only makes the click under load and it is possibly my driveshaft but im not sure. i have a video of it and will upload it asap.

if the driveshaft doesnt have torn boots, what could make it click?

If it's the big boot on the front shaft, just cut it off and be on your way. If you see a ring of grease splattered over the joint at the tcase, and it is making noise, pull that shaft immediately.

Sounds like your upper rezeppa joint is going out. Also looks like you can see where its been slinginging grease by the residue next to it. Put it in neutral, jack it up, bet there's play in that joint.

You need to replace the whole shaft with a double carden aftermarket one. Do you have rear adj. upper control arms?

Yeah, you'll need them for an aftermarket shaft. Might wanna check around, alotta people change to aftermarket shafts right when they lift. Pick up another stocker for cheap , it'll just do the same thing though, but may buy you some time if you cant afford everything at once.

what he said - your rzeppa joint is starting to fail. you really need to get a new drive shaft now as you are totally out of time. a good 1310 u-joint style shaft is what i would recommend and, being that this is a rear shaft, you will need to get adjustable rear upper control arms to set your pinion angle as mkjeep said.
