Default Pop rivet chopped fender flares

Anyone pop rivet their front chopped flares to the sub structures? I'm thinking about putting bed liner then a couple coats of flat black on mine and then pop riveting the flares to the sub structure. I think it would look cool and solve a problem, but I don't have much experience with the rivets. Think this is good idea or am I better off going with nuts and bolts since the sub structure isn't flat?

The main issue would be if you ever needed to remove them. Rivets need to be drilled out.

what i did on my flares is towards the front i drilled a small home through the flare into the support and took one of those xmas tree looking push fasteners and popped it through to keep the fender from flapping. this way its still easily removable

ill get some pics tomorrow

I drilled small holes and ran some fasteners with a nut to stop the flapping. Three on each side.
