I assume I can shim with some grade 8 washers... does that sound correct?
no sorry that wont work. The shaft is roughly 1" or 1.5" I am not entirely sure but its big and its going to be very hard to find the right size washer ID and OD. best thing to do would be give Poison spyder a call and see if they can send you a new shim pack. Who ever installed it for you probably threw the extras away.

Well the Jeep was in the shop for ball joints and gear oil change... I just got it back tonight. I'm leaving for the OBX for the 2nd annual Jeep Mutiny in the morning so I will have to work on it next week. I did hang the spare but I'm not going to open the tire carrier until I get this fixed. The sagging and slack in the hinge is awful... I'm thinking of going with another rear bumper...

Has to be something simple once you get the cap off. I have never had any issue with my PSC setup

Literally just ordered mine today so I am real curious how this turns out. It's a trailer spindle with a roller bearing so I wonder if the nut that puts tension on the bearing just backed off causing it to sag? It's definitely one of the more heavy duty designs out there and I have several friends that have this with no issues to date. Sounds like a fluke incident of some kind..... bummer.
