yeh im sure ,
just sayin if you were finding water or snow inside , from radical stormy weather
but as most have said in other posts on this subject its not a concern really
I intend on going with the louver @ some point as well like the looks of the ps
id be more concerned of ice build up and snow build up then melting after harsh NH weather conditions (for me id prob make a canvas cover if I left it out )

I've run one of these for a few years now. Never an issue and really never seen any standing water on top of the engine.
The engine bay isn't exactly what you would call waterproof anyhow.
I've had several inches of snow and quite a bit of ice sitting on it as well. I would bet the louver is stronger than the paper thin sheet metal.

I have been wanting one for awhile but im a little worried about it sitting out in the rain. My jeep sits outs side so i dont want it to ruin anything inside. For the people that have them do you have problems with to much water getting inside when its sitting? Also mines all stock under the hood other then added wires but its all in a tube.

about ice build up not melting and dripping inward , we get 6 months of winter here lol
