It looks like rain water can run right into the engine compartment. Is that a problem? I know you dont want to get to much water in the engine compartment.
Has anybody had any issues with it warping or rattling?

It looks like a pretty cost effective alternative to a heat reduction hood.
i dont regret getting mine at all! it makes no noise and I can hardly notice that any water gets inside. I ended up cutting the hood to allow the bottom vents to function and I used black rivets to install it rather than the supplied hardware. It looks badass and I can see the heat escaping. I have no warping or rattles. Get it!

Anything to watch for or be careful of when washing the engine?

Ordered one yesterday! They are on a slight backorder though because they had a batch of them that didnt come out right so they are re-making them.

Not that I've ever found, I avoid the air box, only problem I've had is the belt squealed for half an hour once. And with the louver you get funny looks at the stop light when steam is pouring out.

I just installed mine yesterday, super easy to install. I did run a bead of clear silcone around the edge of the louver to fill in groove to make it more water proof and keep water out from going under the louver.

Yeah it took a few weeks to get mine. I ordered for the 2013+ and changed my washer nozzles to be 2 instead of 1.

Just curious as to how much water you expect that to save going in given the size of the louver openings themselves? People drive these jeeps with snorkels in depths where water comes up to the the hood. I'm not saying water on your engine is an ideal thing but at the same time the amount coming in from a set up like this is minimal and insignificant at best
