You trimmed the frame? I couldn't get my set up on either but it was because of the bolts that connect skid to bumper. The design has a bolt located just in front of each frame connection so it will not slide directly on. Poor design in my opinion. But I just removed those two bolts and slid it on no problems. I bet if you didn't have the skid on it would have worked flawlessly.

All in all I think it's a great product.

Interesting. I Checked on the frame rails to see if the skid bolts were contacting, and there was no marking. The problem I was having is that no matter how much I lifted the bumper vertically, the bolts didn't line up with the frame rails.

The grinding I did was minimal, and in no way affected the structural integrity of the frame caps.

This is interesting as I have the same bumper and skid mounted on an 09...got it 2 years or so ago. I did not have to trim one thing...slid right in place and bolted up. I wonder what has changed???
