I Plasti-dipped my wheels. I put it over my chrome wheels about 3 months ago. It worked great and has held up fine. I did have to get my wheels balanced afterwards.

I've had my wheels plasti-dipped since December and they have held up very well. People often ask me how much it cost me to get them professionally done and I tell them it cost me 17 bucks and a few hours of my time! But yeah it's great: no sanding, no prep other than a good wash, and you can peel it off if you want to go back to stock. I did 3 coats and didnt have to balance my wheels or anything.

I personally have never heard of this product. Whats the difference between this stuff and just a rattle can of Rustolium or another kind of paint.

I bought a can of the rustolium brand but after reading it didn't think it would peel off like the plasti-dip brand and didn't trust it. I wanted to try it on my grill so if I didn't like it I could peel it off. But as for the plasti-dip brand I just did my grill about 3 days ago and it looks great and covered very even and there can states that if done correctly it should peel off if desired.

Geezus!! I need a can or two of this stuff! I've never heard of it before and I can think of a few applications for my my rig. If been wanting to chop my fenders and paint them. I might just sand them down a bit and coat them with this. Maybe even spray the wheel wells too.

I recommend not sanding things that you put Plasti-dip on.
