Planning on regearing? You may want to read

I got charts from the guy who did my hemi swap. Here's the one for my combo (545 RFE auto with 35" tires). Let me know if you want me to post a different combo.

Are we really getting short-changed when it comes to tires?
OE Bridgestone Dueler A/T Rh-S P255/70R18, Overall Diameter = 32.1, Rev/Mile = 649, Effective Diameter = 31.1
BF Goodrich M/T T/A KM2 35x12.50x18, Overall Diameter = 34.8, Rev/Mile = 598, Effective Diameter = 33.7
Note: Effective Diameter equation is: 12(fpm/trpm/PI)
where:
fpm = feet per mile = 5280
trpm = revolutions per mile based on manufacturer testing (see ASTM F1806) or extrapolated data fom those tests
PI = 3.142...
12 = inches per foot
As stated previously, changing tire sizes and gearing is a complex endevour more subjective than objective. Every change is a compromise. Every compromise is a personal choice that makes your Jeep unique!

With the stock tires (measuring 30.25") and 3.73 gears I was getting some bog at 60mph on slight grades. The intake is a little loud, so it definitely would make some noise and a sucking sound inside the cabin when the throttle blade moved from wide open to partially closed when returning to flat ground. With the 35s and 4.56s I don't get that unless I'm hitting steeper grades and later with the Superchips Trans tune, it's set to downshift well before I get any bog.

I paid $1,700 and that also came with a 3 year unconditional warranty from Four Wheel Parts.
I think it is more if you have 3.23 gears.
it's a fact of life that if you are getting 35's or greater you need to re gear. (Sux) so, budgetting just enough for rims and tires just ain't enough

Plus I'm gonna end up doing sleeves/gussets/ball joints all at the same time. I'm probably going to wait until I hit $2500 in my jeep savings account and do it all at once.

I just bought a set of 4.88's but haven't installed yet.. I have huge steel front and rear bumpers and alot of extra weight. Are you all running similar rigs? Not sure if I should return them for 4.56's now?? Thought I had it figured out.. Guess not! lol Please advise!
