Yes, that wasn't quite right, it's more like 2800, and 3000 around 75. I only drove it once when I posted that.
After a weekend at the beach, driving in 4wd, I'm still pretty happy with these gears. I can't imagine gearing above 4.56 if I wasn't sticking with 35's or 36's. Only if I was going to 37's would I consider 4.88's. But again, that's me in flat delaware.

OK, that makes a lot more sense. 4.56s are a good choice for 35s if you don't plan on going bigger or don't have changing elevations to deal with. They have been tough to get recently and that has been the case in the past, hence so many people running 4.88s in similar situations.

I have bfg AT's installed, they measure about 34.5". I took a long trip out to West Virginia this weekend and I'm pretty happy with the set up. 70 or 75mph is about all the fast I want to go now, it just sucks too much gas and the RPMS go too high above that. at 70 I am at about 2600-2700 RPMs. I don't have my speedo fixed yet so using gps. On Route 70 and 68 I didn't have to downshift much except for the big hills like Sidling Hill Pass and similar sized mountains. I actually was in 4th a few times. But don't get me wrong, it's where I want to be for my normal driving.
If anyone has any advice on what programmer to get, I'd appreciate it. I am reading some people are amazed at Superchips and some think it does nothing. Maybe I"ll just go with a simple Procal.

What year Wrangler? Auto or manual? Looks like I'll just get the 33s after my lift, till I switch to 4.56 gearing. Also any idea what your tires weigh? Exactly what size are they?

So I have 3.21 gearing. I plan on doing a regear one day. What does it mean that I need a new carrier? Will I need a complete front axle? Or just different components

It's only for tge front to accept the new gears. Not a big deal like 100-150 bucks

Has anyone seen a regearing chart for the Pentastar? does it make a difference? I presently have a sahara running on 18" wheels with 32" tires and 3.21's. I just added the 2.5" AEV lift and have a set of MT Classic Lock 17's on backorder. I will be putting 35" KM2's on them once they are in. I was talked into putting 4.88's, which i have at home in a box, but am wondering if i should swap them for 4.56's or 4.11's. I wheel about every other weekend, but would go every weekend if i could get some interest. I am in Florida so hills are 3-4 stories max.

I have a similar issue. Every one I talk to at shops say go with 4.88 but everything im researching says go 4.56. I am probably go with 4.56 on my 2012 2dr sport Auto with 35 Toyos. Seems like the logical choice for SoCal. Lots of highway driving everywhere.

Personally i love my 4.10's with 35's. I had the 3.21 with 35's for around a year, and it was terrible.. I did a front and rear rubi axle swap and wouldnt want any lower gearing.. I think 4.88 would be suitable for 37's in my opinion.. However i do wish i had the 4:1 transfer case for those crawls..
