My plan is to go with a 2.5 inch lift and 33's. Most of the comments so far are around having to re-gear when going to 35's. If I only go to 33's, will the stock 3.73 gears work ok?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Yes you would need a new carrier. Probably advisable to go with something beyond 3.73s depending on your tire size. Even 3.73s are a 15+% steeper gear set than your current 3.21s, but if you plan on rolling 35s you probably want to look beyond 3.73s.

I could be mistaken although as far as I know the D30 has a one carrier for 3.21s and another for 3.73 and up. The rear carrier is the one that wouldn't need replaced.

I have 3.73s in my '11 Sahara and was planning on going to 5.13s when I switch over to '37s. I've seen kits on quadratic.com that say nothing about needing a new carrier.

You are right, just looked it up. The D30 is 2.73-3.54, and then 3.73-5.13. Just about every other axle out there is 3.73. So my mistake. You do need a carrier for going to 3.73's.

Go with a G2 to save a little $ and get a complete package or if you want to order separate pieces and money isn't an issue, Dynatrac 44 front. That's what I want.

This appears as if you don't have your speedometer calibrated. Without calibration you could be rolling as much as 5mph faster than your speedometer indicates. Stock tires, 4.56s and 70mph would place you where you indicated although you are currently running 33s. Best to get a Procal to get things in line or one of the many tuners available to get a power bump as well as some additional performance.
