As you mentioned towing, 4.10s for 33s and 4.56s for 35s. You really want to get into the torque band higher when you're pulling some weight, and minimize your downshifts.

The chart for the 2012s is in the FAQ.

Default 456

So got my gears done today and wow its a whole new world. I should have done this when i first bought it.
I did 4.56's and now in 6th I'm running about 2950 rpms at 70mph. This is a bit higher than what I wanted, but I'm installing 35's, so expect that to go down a few hundred rpms, and be just about perfect.

I kind of wish there was a way to like test drive all the different gear ratios just to see how they all feel.

Wow that rpm range seems a bit high for 70mph and 6th gear? Is this with stock tires and rims? What size tires do you have?

He currently has 33's as I recall.

And here is something people should consider. 6th gear should be an overdrive, so just for cruising. If you can climb any gear in 6th gear, then you are geared too low IMHO.

Default Trying to get a handle on this

So my situation right now is a 2010 2dr Sahara with a 6 speed and 3.73 gears (went with the factory tow package). With this combo I am at about 2150 rpm's at 65 mph in 6th. My plan is to go with a 2.5 inch lift and 33's. Most of the comments so far are around having to re-gear when going to 35's. If I only go to 33's, will the stock 3.73 gears work ok?

Thanks.

I think you will be fine. Going from 32 to 33 inch tires is not a big jump. And 3.73's are already pretty decent.

This appears as if you don't have your speedometer calibrated. Without calibration you could be rolling as much as 5mph faster than your speedometer indicates. Stock tires, 4.56s and 70mph would place you where you indicated although you are currently running 33s. Best to get a Procal to get things in line or one of the many tuners available to get a power bump as well as some additional performance.
