I'll chime in as well. I had a stock Sahara with 3.21s. Went to 4.88 after installing my lift and 35"s.
I'll say that first gear is quick. If at a stop light, you'll need to shift before your half way through the intersection. Second only a bit better. 3rd and 4th become your go to power gears.
For highway driving, you'll use 5th to get going and 6th for everything. I won't say what is better or worse, but that's my experience so far.
I haven't been wheeling yet but I'll bet that first gear in 4lo is going to be great!

I have a 2011 four door automatic DD that i just lifted and added 35's. I am preparing to regear within a month and I am looking for input from someone with personal experience with that combination. I was also directed to 5.13's by the experts but I am questioning that advice. I would like to regain my power while being able milk the best mpg. Being my DD I need to save as much as I can on MPG to spend on accessories LOL.

Autos are completely different that manuals when it comes to regearing. I have 5.13s on mt 2010 auto with 35s, and it seems just about right. My mileage increased when I regeared from factory in fact, my guess is because it is no longer downshift on hills and it changes gears far less often.
I do very little highway, everything is around town or country roads and I get about 18 mpg.

Ive got a 2011 JKU auto, and once I put on the 35's I will be looking at re-gearing. I too have looked at the charts and talked to "experts" about either going with 4.88 or 5.13's. I also tend to think that there is a widespread predisposition to overgearing as well. My gut tells me I should be going with 4.88's, but I get a lot of "Nahhh, you really want to go 5.13's with that." Great thread.

So would 4.11's be a good choice?

I still run 3.21's with 35's on my 08 2dr manual and still don't mind it.. Besides 6th being unusable, it is really not so bad.. Slow as balls, yes.. Intolerable, no way! God bless the person who invented superchips!!

I have a 6 speed 2012 JKU Rubi and have 35's. The stock gearing of 4:10 seems to be perfect for that size. However if u want to go bigger down the road u may want to regear to 4:56 or 4:88. I may still look at regearing to 4:56 I don't know yet. Well see how I feel when I drop it off at off road evolution to be sleeved and gusseted this summer..haha.
