Planning the new build...Synergy or MetalCloak for 35s?
I'm a few months away from being recovered enough (drunk drivers suck) to buy another JKUR, but I've learned enough from my previous one to know what I'd like to do differently this time. My last rig had OME springs that only netted me about 2" of lift with the ARB bumpers and winch, and I'd really like to get a true 2.5" to stuff real 35s underneath, instead of the 34x10.5s I was running before (great tire size, just expensive and limited in brands).
I do have experience with Synergy parts before and I wasn't disappointed, but it seems like their 2" lift really isn't going to be enough for 35s - I'd like to stick with stock flares. Or maybe it is? MC also gets recommended a lot, but I have no personal experience with them and wouldn't know what the difference in quality is.
Thanks all!

You can not go wrong with Metalcloak IMO. The only bad thing I think I would say about Synergy suspension and steering components is that they are overpriced. Their adjustable components cost more due to their "adjust while installed" double barrel design, but it's just not worth it IMO. How many times are you adjusting your components? Also, they only adjust nicely when brand new. After a year or two under the rig and in the elements.....have fun adjusting them via that method.

If you are not on Metalcloak's email list, get on there. They will email out flash sales, typically around every holiday, and they are almost always 10% off and free shipping. You don't hear much about Metalcloak through most shops and venders because Metalcloak has more of a direct-to-consumer model. There are some MC partnered shops out there, but few and far between. Basically, most places have no benefit in promoting, or selling you, MC products as there is zero margin in it for them. Kinda the same reason 4WP sells loads of Rubicon Express and Rough Country lifts......cuz there is nice profit margin for them to sell so that is what they promote. Having said that, MC is reasonably priced and some of the best stuff available out there for our JK application. I call it like I see it in general, and am not a MC nuthugger. My jeep is a mix of parts from a few manufacturers over the years and I can say good things and bad things about several of them.
