Default Pistol holster

There was a company making pistol holsters specifically for Jeep JKs (and I’m sure other vehicle-specific ones too) that had a lock when you slid it into the holster with a thumbprint to release it. It wasn’t like a lock box, it was a holster. I saw their ad on Instagram maybe a year ago now and saved the ad on the app, but now that I’m finally ready to buy it’s gone. Deleted post I guess. And I can’t find anything like it on google. Anyone know the company or where I can buy it?

Just throwing this out there… I’d imagine that if you need to access your gun while in your vehicle or otherwise, you want to do it in a hurry. While biometric proofs make for good security, they’re not reliable when you need it fast. If you have a cut, dirty hand, etc., a thumb print scanner has a high potential to fail you. I’ve never been a fan of the biometric security for guns because of this.

However, for your question, I haven’t seen one specific for a jk. A quick google search brings up a couple of these that are designed for a generic mount that you may be able to buy of make for a Jeep.

I don't like fingerprint locks either. Like @Sv_dude above said, dirty fingers, cuts, abrasions can make the lock not work. I have this instead and when I leave the vehicle the gun comes with me. https://teamtechoffroad.com/collecti...ol-mount-22deg

yeah that is a solid point that I seem to have forgotten from the days before Face ID on my phone lol. I’ll look into that one. I know JCR makes a MOLLE panel that doesn’t come with a holster, but it’s be nice to have a little more space for a flashlight or something if it’s an option, and just attach a holster afterwards. Thanks for the recommendation

I deal with biometric security daily for access to a few work things and it's always surprising how often you have a cut or something on the one damn finger you need.

Hopefully after New York Rifle Pistol Assn vs Bruen is decided by SCOTUS, those in blue states can enjoy their constitutionally protected rights once again.

I know that Aliengear makes a holster mount for the cloakdock. It is pretty nice.https://aliengearholsters.com/cloak-...ount.html.html
