Going to 35's with only a leveling lift, 1" in rear, 1.5 in front. Should I cut it fold the pinch seam? Can I get opinions and why you think it is better? Also it would help if you could post close up pictures of your modification as a reference to how much needs to be cut (or folded). Thanks!

I didn't have to touch my seam with 35s. It looks closer than it is, your axle moves back and away from it as it articulates. For 37s I just cut mine with an angle grinder and looks like a clean finish. Not sure what the BFH method would look like.

I cut mine with a sawsall. Can't imagine there would be an easier or faster method. Takes 20 seconds to cut and about the same to spraypaint after, so I would cut if I were you. I can't see any benefit to the hammer beside the workout, lol!

35" Duratracs, after cutting, still got into the pinch seam. The cut area was painted after the trimming, but I experienced rubbing while heavy in Moab. Just a static test will not let you know this because when running off-road, tires deflated, they can bulge out causing the rubbing. I had to trim it yet more to prevent the rubbing.

Trim it, fill it and paint to match. Are you trimming the flares so the 35s don't rip them off?

I am going to do 35's with the Teraflex leveling lift. 2" in the front, and 1" in the back. I am thinking about Rugged Ridge Hurricane Flat Fenders. They give you 2" of extra clearance, and 1" extra coverage. Plus you get to keep most of your inner fenders. I will trim the pinch seam.

Never an issue with my 35 toyo's but im trimming my friday to fit 37's.

I run 37's, I cut mine with a sawzall, filled with JB Weld, then touched the area up with Rustoleum bedliner spray.

Best way to go about it. It's pretty simple but make sure to seal the gap up to avoid rusting and moisture eating away at it. You can trim your rock rails with a sawzall too pretty easy. Make sure to paint the cut before replacing the end cap.
