Man that thing looks sweet. I like it without the endcaps much better. Just my preference though. To each his own.

Ya, I really like the bumper, looks even better in person. Pleased with form, fit and function of it.

I like the end cap look too, plus it would help protect yer fenders better.

But I like the stubby/open tire look too.

I like both lol.

The interesting thing about the rugged ridge is you can take things on and off purty easy, to give it a diff look or more protection if you need it.

Thats what finally sold me I think after shoppin for bumpers for quite awhile.

The stubby price is nice too, but adds up when you add extra stuff.

140 dollars for end caps is a lot if you ask me.

I've been messin with designing my own end caps which would make it even different. So thats another option.

No real need for a winch here in Baltimore! I like the look without endcaps!

Here is a photo of the RR with end caps mounted on my Rubi. I originally had the non winch version on but replaced it with this one when I bought the Warn. Any body interested in my old one?

Has anyone lost noticeable height from the weight of this bumper? Wondering if I would need spacers to regain lift?

My height didn't change. Adding a winch might drop it a little

Not legal to run without a front license plate in Marylan either, but...

Not that I am into breaking laws, I just haven't drilled the bumper yet for the plate, and I Really like the look witout endcaps.

That bumper really looks good. It could have looked great had they designed the end caps to close the gap more between the bumper and fenders.

Here's the story with my install, I used a bathroom scale for weights...

orig bumper with all plastic parts, tow hooks, fog lights- 40 lbs.

rr stubby bumper- 52 lbs
2 d-rings- 12 lbs (6lbs each)
hoop- 6 lbs
hardware- 1 lb
71 lbs total

So, I added 31 more pounds so far.

My rubicon front raised 3/8 inch with no bumper.
Came back down 3/8 with rr installed as shown (no winch yet)

I figgure this is due to the rubicon spring rate (31 pounds didn't make much diff so far).

You could stack 31 pounds on your stock bumper to get a preview of your change.

I'm 260 pounds. I can sit on the bumper's hoop as it is now (no winch yet), the front drops 1.25 inch.

Depending on what winch you buy... I figgure a 90 pounder will drop my front end about 3/8 of an inch.
I'll prob stack some weight on the stubby and measure when I know what winch I'm gonna get.

If your springs are different than the rubicons, your drop will be different.

The four door model will prob be different too. I have the 2 door.
