It's close. Suppose you could photoshop it.

I love those hoods as well. I was also thinking of getting Poison Spyder hood louver. Its a less expensive option,
I would put it in powder-coated Flat Black, the picture shows it painted grey, don't like it like that, I would go flat black with my hood gloss black.

that's for a TJ and won't fit on a stock JK hood. The entire stock hood has curvature in it no single part is flat which makes running a full hood louver like that impossible. I wish it would though would look slick.

Thanks for the reply. This forum is the best. I do not even have a JK yet, I have a 2004 Wrangler Unlimited, I will build a JK soon.
There is no other forum worth looking at, nothing compares to this for Jeep.

I just had one put on my black Rubi last week.

Gotta say that I noticed it does let a LOT of heat out through the vents. They get wicked hot. I guess that's a good thing....hence the name...

Here are pics. My avatar shows it too.

I was curious about this like you and I did some research a while back. I've always been drawn to the black AEV hood with silver vents but I realized the "RUBICON" decal would look better if the hood were all black. Below are some images I found online. Not my Jeep, just random JKs I found that had the black AEV hood with black vents.

I think it looks good with the black vents. I never thought of changing the color when I bought it. In fact, I added the aircraft aluminum pull-downs because of the silver vents. I could have left the stock ones if doing all black. I also agree that the decal shows up better without the silver trim.
