pcs hood louver
So my amazing gf gave me my Xmas present early. A Poison Spyder hood louver. I plan on doing it myself and just asking if there are any tips on how to do it. Or anything I gotta watch out for.

Watch when you tighten the bolts you could dimple the hood and if using a cutting wheel cover up everything I did everything but the windshield and the sparks etch'd it

Mask off everything, cover the windshield, put a drop cloth under the hood if you're not going to remove it from the jeep. Touch up paint on everything you cut. What are you planning on cutting with?

You definitely want to take off the hood. cover everything that's not going to be cut. Paint all the cut edges with some rust proof paint. I used a pnuematic high speed cut off tool. It cut through the sheet metal like butter.

hey everyone....I'm in the process of installing this right now...I ordered it bare steel and I am using herculiner...I did prep it with self etching primer....so far I did the top piece of the lovour...but now I'm thinking do I have to herculiner the underneath part?:..it's not gonna be showing? but will the heat from the engine do anything to primer? assuming I applied it "correctly"...feedback please
