The truth is probably 95% of people use a jeep as a daily driver. Very few can afford one just for off road use.

So in reality those asking about speed are justified. It would be a kin to someone saying "my jeep keeps getting stuck" then people saying "why are you going off road with it?".

Both uses are valid and it's Chrysler that's not forward thinking enough to put enough power in a multipurpose vehicle. IMO

We are not alone...
Land Rover Defender 90 (2.4 liter diesel, 235 tires): top speed 82 mph; 0-60 mph in 15.2 seconds.
Hummer H1, as recorded by Edmund, 0-60 mph in approximately 16.5 seconds.

If you like your four wheel drive a little faster, may I suggest the 2012 Nissan GT-R, 0-60 in 2.9 seconds.

Right on. In fact if your JK even has a license plate your not a real Jeeper. Since real Jeepers trailer their rig everywhere who cares about acceleration. LOL @ all the fools who waste money on street mods

People that own sports cars check there 0-60. People with Jeeps measure the incline or how high the rock is and the depth of the water. So what are you going to do A)get a sports car or B) go drive the Jeep the was intended to be. Hint: pick B it is more fun.
