Cant speak from experience sorry, but I did some google research on it before I sprayed my turn signals, side markers, and snorkel, and the general response was that people have had success with removing it that way.

Oh okay thanks well i think ima try pasti dip see how it that works maybe just do one coat and if i dont like it ima do the vht

A tip: Pull the tail light assembly off and just spray the whole thing. The plastic matches the lens now and it looks pretty cool... plus it saves you a ton of taping.

Did you do the whole tail light or leave a peace off for the reverse light? You got a pic? I wish I woulda known, we could have had a tail light blackout party haha

I did the entire exterior of the assembly. Don't have a pic, but I can snap one when I get home. And you're more than welcome to swing by again and check them out to see if you like it. I think it looks awesome with the black on black.

I tinted mine like so long ago I can't remember , do light coats when I hit my brakes at night you can't tell I did it
