Default painting steering components?

So apparently Jeep decided to let a 3 years old paint my steering/axle components, as there are several spots on my 2012 that were not painted... such as my "C" on my axle. Don;t care so much about looks, but it is already starting to rust after 300 miles... any suggestions on type of paint I can use to touch up these spots?

I believe the C and alot of other things such as the driveshaft on the jeep dont come painted. Its not going to cause any problems if they're rusty. but if you do want to paint them, i suggest rustoleum "Stops rust"

Won't this cause problems if I ever need to get that nut off? I would think rust would be a bad thing to have there

Thats not supposed to be painted. Well, by not supposed to I mean they cut costs by not painiting it.

Quoted for truth.

If it hasn't rusted, hit it with rattlecan black rubberized bedliner or rockerguard paint. If it has rusted, you can't beat POR15.
