Painting the Hard Top's Interior

The white interior of the hard top is pretty hideous and tough to take.
Has anyone painted the interior of the hard top with any success?

Yeppers! Had a pro do it when he line-X'ed the exterior. In the pic you can see the side window surround and HotHead headliners on top. The actual blacks match perfectly but the reflectivity is different so in the pic they look black/gray.

I put these in and it is SO much easier on the eyes, which was a side bonus to the improved sound quality:

I used Duplicolor spray in liner from a rattle can. Here's my write-up...

the green looks cool, but is that any easier on the eyes in terms of being distracting while driving? I found the white almost as bad as sun glare and the black panels I put on eliminated that.
also, how does it look without that plastic between the speakers? got more pics of that?
