I am sorry, but I had to become a member just to comment on this thread.
Why are so many of you so happy to buy a copy of an American made product, made in America, by Americans. Why not save a bit more, and buy the real deal instead of some knock off from someone who stole the design and idea.
I am really sorry for my rant and for myself not being very P.C. but if you are happy about buying this knock off crap, and happy about it, your really a piece of S#!?. Once again very sorry, I am just really proud of this country, and what it still stands for in my heart. I am also very proud to have companies like the one who makes the product others are stealing from. I wish all the best to all of our manufactures that design and build in this country, and I will always do my best to only support them. Even if it means that I have to save a bit longer, or go without for a bit longer, in the end I will be proud of my purchase!!!

I know that not everyone on here is from the USA, but this thread is still condoning theft from another person. The companies that make these p.o.s. knock offs are stealing the design/intellectual property from someone else. So you are telling me that you think it is ok to steal from someone else in your book. Thats great what is your credit card number, and your address.

all the threads about the ebay snorkel made me too curious...i bought a gen1 knock-off on Amazon for $78 shipped just to see what the deal was on this. I wanted to see one for myself. The particular one I got looked rough...so...

I'll be ordering the AEV one...but to each his own...

Please let me know how the chinese copy constitutes theft? I dont see where AEV is suing, so they must not have a case.

How does this differ from numerous other goods that are copied? I don't hear anyone knocking wheel makers... check out m/t classic, and tell me there arent 10 other wheels exactly the same.

If another American company started selling these knock offs, would you still be this grumpy? Or are you just angry these are imported?

Ive got more to worry about in life that that stuff... N hey it saved me money so thats cool to. You make it seem like there driving up to aev loading up then selling them.... That's not the case. Look at all kinds of thing like power tools and sawzall blades just to name a few there all copying eachothers ideas.. Your off topic post about your views on an internet forum sadly will stop none of that.
