well a couple weeks ago i succumbed and ordered the aev knockoff . after reading many happy campers stories about how pleased they were with it . after recieving the wrong one the first go round i got the correct piece the other day and gave it a go today . WHAT A PIECE OF TRASH !!!!! .the snorkel snapped into my airbox clean as could be but the the fit , if you could call it that was horrible . the two fender brackets were a good inch or so high off the mark and the cutout for the antenna wsnt close . also the airbox was no longer atthe correct angle and orientation to fit back in the rubber grommets . after fiddling for awhile i said , fuggitaboutit . not gonna put this crap on my jeep . it could probably be cranked down and made to work if the antenna cutout was larger but screw that . im gonna get the real deal . 140'buck lesson learned . also cracked my airbox tryin to get the chicom sheeit back off it lil epoxy and alls well . yup get what ya pay for ! rant over

 

Man that sucks. I'd like to get the newer gen 2 AEV snorkel with the larger 4" tube

Huh i think you still have the wrong one. Mine went on super easy and everything lines up mint?? My brother has the aev andvthey r spot on identical

 

Wow that Sux.... I had the knock off on my Sahara and it went on fine.... Only reason I have aev on my Rubi is cause a buddy gave it to me for 50 bucks

nope its the"right one " jk wrangler stamped on side .'the first one i got was for fj cruiser , very different setup . its just crap , i googledand several stories just like mine popped up
