My original thinking was;
(1) synthetic can save 20-30lbs on the weight of the bumper.
(2) It is easier to handle, etc.
(3) It is stonger, related to size. ( I think).

So, instead of buying a winch and the hassle of selling the wire, would a vendor credit the price of the wire then add the price of the synthetic?

It would oblivously cost more overall, but maybe I would not have to buy the wire.

lastly, the winches that come with synthectic are on the high end. So can you get a warn M8000 or equivalence with synthetic?

through the gloves no less.

One of the things I like about the synthetic specific winches and synthetic line is the weight savings on a daily driver. The T-Max even comes in yellow to match me Detonator Yellow.

Try the Winch Depot. Their prices include shipping.

some places require you to have to have synthetic. Maybe because of idiots putting the wire around trees or maybe because of lawsuits and the dangers of the cable. The weight, and safety make it a no brainer to me - but when you are stuck and wet and on unstable ground you don't want to deal with wire jams from steal.

I saved a ton of front weight...not only do you get rid of the wire rope weight, you get rid of the roller fairlead weight...that's pretty heavy by itself...I think I shaved off like 45 lb by swapping in synthetic.

I have 125' of the wire rope, and the roller fairlead from the Warn 9.5xp just sitting in their boxes....I never spooled the wire rope on, because I knew I was going to swap on the synthetic anyway.
