Default OME shock squeaking a ton. Thoughts?

After about 1,000 my new near passenger nitro charger OME has started to make a horrible grinding/squeaking sound whenever engaged at all. I've never had this problem. Bad shock? Some dirt stock in the shaft?

Any suggestions much appreciated.

I would contact OME and see what they say. Your shock could have contaminant in it, or lost the charge. If you want to take it off, test it and see if it still has the same resistance as when you installed it, and if it will expand naturally.

Those would be my first steps. Also, how old are the shocks and lift?

Almost the exact same situation happened to me with Bilstein shocks. I had a lift installed and all was good for about 1-2k miles. It was a chirp and squeak every time the shock moved. I had pin pointed it to the rear passenger side.

Eventually after enough trial and error I found out it was the brake lines rubbing on the sway bar. I bent it back the other direction and the sound is gone.

I had this with a front one. I rotated the body and it stopped. I think the dust cover was tweaked or something.
