Default Which OME Lift for 2Door?

I am seriously considering the OME 2" lift that Northridge 4x4 has in their package deal with the adj. front and rear trackbars. I have a 2 door with stock rear bumper and in a month or so I will have the Or-Fab stubby front bumper with fog lights and light bar for PIAA 540s.

My question is which would be a better fit for me the light springs or HD springs?

I will have 285/70/17 on my stock moabs and don't want to go any bigger (to avoid regearing). I have done my research on here, but most people have aftermarket bumpers with winches or they have the 4 door. Will the HD springs be to high for 33s or too stiff for a stubby bumper without the winch?

I know...I know contact Dave at Northridge, but I'd like to hear you guys (fellow gals) input first. Note...I will not be purchasing kit for another 4 or so months. Just trying to get all of my research done and pricing figured out first.

Thanks...Jill.

Call Dave. I'm not trying to be a wise ass. I spent a few months researching and asking on a couple different forums. I thought I had it all figured out. I called Dave and he suggested something totally different. FYi I was going to go with HD springs. I have or plan on Heavy front and rear bumpers, skids, winch, tire carrier, drawer system, roof rack, recovery gear, etc and a small popup camper to pull. Dave recommended standard springs... even with that load... Now I can't decide between the AEV or the OME.....

I have the OME HD springs on my 2-door (over a year and a half now) and am happy with it. It fit 35's no prob, I have never rubbed tires on anything so I will be going to 37's this coming spring and add to bumpstops/trim accordingly. I have a front stubby bumper with a 9000lb. superwinch with synthetic line, rear rancho bumper/tire carrier with 35 in. spare, hardtop also.

I had the HD coils on my 2dr with bumpers/winch, etc. Was perfect for the 35" BFG km2's that were more like 33.5-34". The ride was really nice. If you plan to go bigger or add more weight I'd go with taller coils.

Thanks for all the replies so far. I do not plan on adding a winch since I do not do very much off roading due to the area I live in. I would like to have 3" of lift for the 33s that I will have on my stock wheels. I guess my my real question is with the light springs do y'all think I could get 3" of lift with them?

I had previously looked at the Teraflex 2.5" shocks & coils lift, which stated that it would be 3" total, but Northridge has a much better deal on the OME lift package and I've heard great things about the OME lift. I know that the HD coils will be rough, but I would at least get 3" of lift from them.

Any input from you 2 door guys that have kept your Jeep stock bumpers with the OME lift would greatly help.

So I talked to Dave today and he told me that since I'm not running a winch and only 33" tires then the light springs will be what I need. I will need no other parts than the OME springs, shocks, JKS adj. front & rear trackbar. Good...this saves me money . I still have some months away from this purchase, but it is good to have that all figured out. He said that I should get the amount of lift that I'm looking for with what I will have on it. I hope he's accurate on this since I'd hate it to be only 2". I want others to be able to tell that it's been lifted.

I have the OME HD lift with JKS front and rear adj. track bars from NR. Still have stock bumpers and rides nice. I do at some point in time plan to add new front and rear bumpers, winch, etc.

If you just plan on running 33's, which i might still do. it will be fine! Just get front lower adj. control arms, so you can adjust the caster.

I picked a spot up front and in the rear and measured before and after I put the hard top back on and then again after re-installing the back seat.

Hard top caused 3/8" of sag on the rear coils and the seat caused another 3/8" so combined I lost 3/4" of lift.

My front stayed the same.

Just some info for you guys.
Hey Dirtman...since you are running the light coils how much lift are you getting with them? Are they close to 3 inches?
